The spring foliar display of Acer shirasawanum ‘Jordan’ with its lemon yellow foliage will fade to yellow-green in the summer. Showy red samaras pushing up above the leaves add a bright contrast to summer foliage. Red-orange in the fall, ‘Jordan’ has a faster growth habit when compared to A. j. ‘Aureum’. Although tolerant of a little sun, full exposure should be avoided in hot climates. Place ‘Jordan’ in well-drained soil that provides consistent moisture.
