Agave americana var. medio-picta 'Alba', also known as the White-striped Century Plant, is a stunning succulent with a unique appearance. It forms a tall rosette of thick, spiny-edged, gray-green leaves, each with a bright creamy-white central stripe. This plant can grow up to 80 cm (30 inches) tall and around 1.8 m (6 feet) in diameter.
Light: Needs full sun to thrive. Ensure it gets at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Water: Very drought-tolerant. Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out completely between watering. Reduce watering in winter.
Soil: Requires well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix.
Temperature: Best in warm climates, ideally between 20-30°C (68-86°F). It's more frost-tolerant than other agaves but will need protection from severe cold.
