Calathea roseopicta Shining Star has large, glossy oval leaves that almost feel like plastic. The top of the leaves are green with a very distinctive pattern while the bottom of each leaf is purple. This variety of Calathea has a hunching habit and the plants grow to be about 20 inches tall and wide.
