Crassula ovata 'Crosby's Compact' is a much-branched succulent shrub with thick stems that bear attractive green leaves with red margins. It slowly grows up to 3 feet (90 cm) tall. Leaves are obovate and up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) long. The new leaves can be suffused entirely with red tones. Flowers are small, white, and star-shaped and appear in clusters at the tips of the branches in late fall and winter.
