Euphorbia ammak, often called African Candelabra or Candelabra Spurge, is a large, tree‑like succulent native to Saudi Arabia and Yemen. It’s prized for its upright, ribbed, spiny branches and dramatic architectural form. Euphorbia ammak grows in rocky, arid desert habitats, reaching up to 10 meters (33 ft) in the wild. It forms a central trunk with upward‑pointing branches, each with 4–5 deep ribs and paired spines. Leaves appear briefly at the tips and drop quickly, leaving the classic bare candelabra shape.
