Upright stems first emerge a deep wine-red. Older leaves turn dark green but continue to show off red undersides towards the ends of the stems. Flowers bloom with showy chartreuse to yellow bracts. A fuss-free heat and drought-tolerant plant, excellent for containers and rock gardens. Evergreen to semi-evergreen perennial. Reaches 18 to 24 in. tall and wide.
