Euphorbia spiralis—often called Spiral Spurge—is a sculptural succulent from the island of Socotra (Yemen), where it grows in rocky, windswept, extremely arid terrain. Its signature feature is the corkscrew stem, formed by twisting vertical ribs with paired spines. Euphorbia spiralis needs substantial light to stay compact and keep its corkscrew ribs pronounced. This species is extremely drought-tolerant. Its slow-growing, gray‑green stem stores water, and overwatering is the main risk.
