Heat tolerant! Known as lady's Eardrops in the late Victorian era, when glasshouses were full of newly discovered tender plants from the tropics, Gartenmeister was a collector's favorite of that era, when over 1500 cultivars were available. The lovely coral-red flowered form with bronze foliage was introduced in 1905 and will fill pots with handsome foliage and brilliant flowers all summer and fall, given regular water and fertilizer.
