The Pachypodium lamerei, commonly known as the Madagascar Palm, is a unique and striking succulent that is native to Madagascar. Despite its common name, it's not a true palm.

  • Light: Thrives in bright, direct sunlight. It can tolerate partial shade but prefers full sun for optimal growth.

  • Watering: Water moderately during the growing season (spring and summer), allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering in the winter when the plant is dormant.

  • Soil: Use well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.

  • Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures and is not frost-tolerant. Ideal temperatures are between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

  • Humidity: Adapts well to average household humidity levels.
