Pinus sylvestris 'Green Penguin' is commonly referred to as Green Penguin Scots Pine or Green Penguin Scotch Pine. It is a hardy, very dense dwarf, bushy pine that stays quite small for a long time, holding its forest green color throughout winter. It gets its name due to resembling a fat penguin as it ages.
Green Penguin Scotch Pine is easy to grow, deer resistant, and is relatively low maintenance. It thrives in full sun to partial shade in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water.
