Sometimes called a "Spider Aralia," Plerandra elegantissima has thin, dark green leaflets that grow in snowflake clusters, creating a striking plant with a full appearance. The stems and petioles of the new growth have a cow-spotted appearance, with white and black splotches along the stems and veins. The dark leaves and the unusual stems make this unique specimen a beautiful statement plant for any space. It requires high humidity. Keeping the potting soil moist will benefit this plant. It's showy blooms rarely flower indoors. Its a good specimen plant in tubs for home and commercial office corners, atria, or as a specimen tree in larger interior landscape sites.
