Capitata Rubra is one of a few varieties of air plants with a year-round, natural red color. Depending on the amount of light it gets, the color can be green, pink, red, or anywhere in between. Sometimes they will take on a purplish hue.
Rubra is a larger growing air plant that has a small inflorescence with violet, flowers. Capitatas have soft, recurving leaves and fairly prominent trichomes, giving them a lovely shimmer. Capitata Rubra tends to open and fan out when blooming.
